Care team

Credentialed clinicians who actually read your history.

A complicated mental health history deserves a clinician who reads it carefully. NeuPath is led by Dr. Samer Roumani, a dual board-certified psychiatrist and the Medical Director of NeuPath, PC, working in close coordination with Richard Perez, a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over fifteen years of healthcare experience in the Long Beach area.

Dr. Samer Roumani, D.O.

Medical Director · Dual Board-Certified Psychiatrist

Dr. Roumani is a dual board-certified psychiatrist with more than ten years of clinical training and practice. He completed his psychiatry residency at Centerstone in Florida and went on to complete his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Loma Linda University. His osteopathic training centers on holistic treatment: understanding what each patient is going through, what has helped, what has not, and what they hope to change. The goal is not just medication management in isolation.

Dr. Roumani works with children, teens, and adults who carry depression, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, and mood disorders that have not improved with traditional treatment. Over the years he has cared for patients in many different settings, including hospitals, crisis programs, telepsychiatry, dual-diagnosis treatment, and forensic care. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Sciences and is experienced in integrative psychiatric care, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) for severe treatment-resistant depression. He works closely with Richard Perez to ensure patients receive thoughtful, coordinated care.
